New turf being laid at the the Crown Oil Arena pitch
Work continues on the Crown Oil Arena pitch, with contractors starting to lay the new turf.
It has been arriving at regular intervals via a convoy of lorries.
The Board of Directors made the decision to have the ptich relaid due to a rapid decline in the Crown Oil Arena pitch since the end of December, which is not conducive to Dale's style of football.
Premier Pitches – the UK and Europe’s leading sport turf contractors - is carrying out the work.
The pitch will be ready for the game against Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
