Beech House Early Years Group wins art prize

Date published: 09 April 2021

The early years foundation stage group at Beech House School has won a first place prize in this year’s National ISA Art competition.

The Independent Schools Association (ISA) National Art Competition is held annually for schools to showcase their pupils’ art and for teachers to share best practice and ideas. There are dozens of classes to cover different age groups and genres, from 2D art, through to fashion and photography.

The early years group was awarded first place for its Art 3D entry, Humpty, of the popular nursery rhyme character.

Key Stage 2 student Harriet Whitbread was named runner up in drawing for her fruit artowrk and Ella Raw's owl artwork saw her named runner up in the Art 3D category for Key Stage 4 [Ella is pictured above with a different piece of work].

All of Beech House’s entries had previously won their respective categories in the ISA North of England Arts Festival before being put forward for the national competition.
