As a resident Castleton for almost 30 years where I live with my wife and 4 children, I know the area, the ward, its people and the challenges we continue to face against a backdrop of economic decline and sparse resources. I believe the residents of Castleton deserve to be represented by councillors that are competent, hardworking, and passionate about the area and it’s improvement for the benefit of all.
The Liberal Democrats work hard both locally and nationally to ensure that people get a fair deal.
All Lib Dem run local councils have either reduced or frozen council tax and worked hard to ensure front line services are affected. No other group of councillors work harder for you all year round.
Nationally the Lib Dems have worked hard to fix the huge problems caused by the Labour’s disastrous economic legacy, whilst ensuring that ordinary people are helped first. Measures such as raising the income tax threshold, restoring the link between pensions and earnings and directing extra money to schools through the pupil premium are all evidence of the Lib Dem’s delivering policies that help the hardworking majority.
