The Paul Gaywood lecture was hosted by the Rochdale Philatelic Society this year and the club had the pleasure of David Sigee presenting the lecture on "The university mails of Oxford and Cambridge".
David described the history behind the setting up of local mails between the colleges and for mails within the college and to local tradesmen
There was a fine display of the stamps designed for the various colleges , including proofs, sheets and actual mail sent by members of the colleges to local tradespeople .
