Peter Rooke from Liverpool Philatelic Society presented a postal history of Denmark with covers and stamps from earliest times to the present.
Danish politics and the monarchy was explained has seen through philately through the years.
The consequences of war was particularly a factor when Denmark lost over a third of its landmass in the nineteenth century, including Hamburg. At the end of WW1 Denmark received war reparations by the return of the Danish speaking half of Schleswig.
