Minutes of the 136th Meeting held the 21st June 2016 at Hare Hill House Littleborough at 7.30pm
Present:-
Peter Evans (in the chair), Brian Holden, Barry Horner, Ian Jackson, John F Kay, Cllr Ann Stott, Bob Weatherley,

- The Minutes of the meeting on 17th May 2016 were approved
2.The C & RT Pennine Waterways Meeting held 27th April 2016 and attended by Ian Jackson and Bob Weatherley was discussed in detail. The intention of RMBC to require the developer of its land to build phase 1 of the Durn Marina had been noted.
3.It seems that there have been meetings between C & RT and Local Councillors. Ann Stott will make enquiries to see if Rochdale MBC is involved
4. John Kay reported that the contact with Rochdale MBC, Mark Prestwich, had left the council. He was trying to get another named person (next day we were given the name Nigel MacDonald)
5. Bob Weatherley has been away and had not yet take further the issue of a Cover for the Boat. However on his travels he had seem a tour boat belonging to C & RT moored in an unlikely place. He was making enquiries.
6. Flood Damage repairs were discussed further. Also the need to advertise the Rochdale Canal if we are to get back visitors for the next season
7. In Bob Furnell’s absence there was no report on the Canalside café or the adopt a canal scheme
8.There has been no movement on the Akzo Nobel Site
9. It was agreed that future meetings will be held at hare Hill House and that John Kay will terminate the arrangement with United Reform Church on Victoria Street Littleborough
