  1. Littleborough Neighbourhood Forum
    1.  It was reported that there had been a very good response to the Questionnaire and that the Forum now had an excellent Website at www.lbnf.co.uk
  2. Durn Marina and Tour Boat Project
    1. Bob Furnell has made an initial enquiry about a grant from Pennine Township for the Tour Boat Project
    2. There have been some donations online and in the collecting boxes
    3. Two Dog Dirt Bins have been obtained. One is in position and being emptied by RMBC

 

  1.     Canal & River Trust
    1. The “Adopt a Canal” Scheme has now started. Several Volunteers lead by Bob Furnell now meet on the 1st Sunday each month at Durn at 10.00am.
    2. An extra day for Volunteers has been arranged for Thursday 30th April 2015 meeting at 10.00 am to work until 2.00pm. The task is to paint and erect the fence near to the lock where so much work has already been done.
    3. The Council may take legal action against the person caught fly tipping near to Kingsway.
    4. JFK has still  to identify an officer in the Rochdale MBC who will be our link to the Local authority as the successful Canal Watch Schemes at Hebden Bridge and in Manchester benefitted from strong Local Authority support

    1. A small trip boat which used to operate in Hebden Bridge has now been re-located in Lincoln. Bob Weatherley is trying to get more information about how this operated as there are similarities with our plans in Littleborough
    2. There is a meeting about the Canal in Rochdale later this month and Bob Weatherley and Bob Furnell plan to attend

Meetings are normally held on the third Tuesday each month starting at 7.30pm
